A month or two ago my mom saw a news special featuring an organization that makes and donates superhero capes for "Heart Heroes," or kids with heart defects. She went online and filled out a form requesting one for Evin. She never heard anything back, but last week we received a package in the mail addressed to "Heart Hero Evin Kate Armstrong" and this adorable cape was inside. I love that she can grow up wearing her cape to her doctor's appointments & to the hospital for surgeries, and know that she has the strength and super powers to navigate her life's special mission.
She certainly is our tiny hero!
