Week in Photos- 1 year 21 weeks

{August 13th-19th}

One of her favorite faces to make lately.  Cheesy to the MAX.

"Raise your hand if you're a big girl!"

I started back to school (actually 1.5 weeks of inservice before the kids start back) and this girl decided she had to wake up and join in the fun while I got ready for my first day.  She "helped" with my mascara and was very intrigued when it stained her finger.

Later that day...we ended up at Cook Children's Urgent Care.  Evin was not feeling great when I left the house that morning.  I texted my mom on break that morning and she said Evin was not acting herself at all and was making a weird noise when she was breathing.  She was making the noise just barely when I left that morning.  I went home on my lunch break and it was almost like she was moaning from pain when she would take a breath, but it was possible that she was having difficulty breathing.  She was super lethargic and hadn't really ever acted this way before.  My mom had already given her Tylenol that morning and it didn't seem to help at all.  Her breathing was scaring me enough that we took her to Cook's Urgent Care in Mansfield.  They got us in super quick, probably due to her medical history, and I was very relieved as soon as I saw her oxygen saturation at 98%.

They ended up doing a chest x-ray, getting a urine sample through a catheter (awful), swabbing her throat to check for strep, and giving her Motrin.  Within 30 minutes she stopped making the noise when she took a breath and she was acting SO much better.  We have decided that she does not respond nearly as much to Tylenol as she does to Advil or Motrin.

Test results came back and her chest x-ray looked good, and urine & throat looked fine.   She had some type of bug that caused her to have a high fever and we think the moaning was her way of showing that she didn't feel well.

She certainly perked up when they offered her a popsicle and she scarfed the entire thing down in a matter of minutes.

She wanted to be right up next to my mom or me, and wanted to watch videos of Lane on my mom's phone over and over.  Whatever made her happy is what we did!

Poor little punkin' was tuckered out after a long day!

Later that week, we went to Babe's Chicken.
"This way to the chicken!"

So sweet.

I guess it doesn't matter if she chews on the wrong end of the toothbrush, since she doesn't have anything to brush!

Crazy hair, crazy girl!

Reading herself a bedtime story.

A clean girl in polka dotted PJs- it doesn't get much better than that!

Mitch's partner, Kaleb, has a daughter that turned 2, so we went to her Elmo themed birthday party!  There was a big cool front that came in that day, so Evin got to bust out her new fall skinnies to wear.

This huge Elmo balloon was the hit of the party!

Super cute cupcakes!

Evin loved this thing.  She walked around holding its hand.  :)

Once again, the cheesy smile.  This girl cracks us up!

Week in Photos- 1 year 20 weeks

{August 6th-12th}

Who took my baby and replaced her with a toddler?!

Since taking away the pacifier wasn't going so well, we decided we would try to get her attached to one of her stuffed animals to "replace" the comfort the paci gave her.  We lined up some of her animals for her to choose from.

Decisions, decisions

It was actually very funny watching her look at all the animals before picking one.

Her top choice.

She seemed pretty pleased with her decision at the moment.  Later that night, not so much.  At this point, nothing could replace her beloved paci.

So sweet!

Yep- that's how I feel, too, sister.  No paci=no sleep.  We were walking zombies for a couple of days.

My friend Lauren bought Evin this cute romper "just because she had to have it!"  She does look pretty stinkin' cute in it!

Crossing her ankles like a little lady.

And then not so ladylike going down the slide.  Ha!

Doing some serious spying on the neighbors' dogs.

She was cracking me up with my sunglasses.
Peek-a-boo!

The Snowdens came for a visit, which meant that Evin HAD to do everything the big kids did.  Marley didn't mind too much!

"Who, me?  You mean you already told me to sit down 7 times?"
Guilty face.

Little Abby looks so much like my Hannah did!

Paisley is quite the wild child!  She was tuckered out from causing a ruckus.

Perfect pic!

Snuggling with a potential paci replacement stuffed animal.

Tiffany and I took Marley and Evin shopping and to lunch while the rest of the crew went to the Bush Library.  We decided these 2 wouldn't be good candidates for the library, but they did great shopping!  Evin couldn't tear herself away from the Old Navy dog mannequin for a picture.

E's 1st Farmer's Market!
{mine, too!}

She loves to sit on the counter and play with makeup brushes while I get ready.

On Sunday morning we took off to Brady to get in a quick visit with Paw.  We stopped at Underwood's Barbeque in Brownwood, and waited in line FOREVER before getting our food.  It sure was good, though!  Evin decided she was a fan of pickled okra, just like her mama!

She was REALLY good on the way there and was content listening to her iPod.  Silly girl put this ball on top of her head and rode with it that way for over an hour.

Scarfing down some ribs with Paw.

Paw was headed to a doctor's appointment on Monday, and we headed back home.  Our visit was short, but it was so nice to see him!

Evin has loved all the outdoor playtime this summer.  The water table and the sprinklers have been a hit!

Bubbles are a favorite now, too.

Right before I started back to school we made a family trip to Hawaiian Falls.

She was ready to go!  Last time we went to HF she wasn't really walking a whole lot, so I had to carry her mostly everywhere.  This time, she was all over the place.  She loved the splash pad area and had fun sliding down the baby slides.

She was worn out after a couple of hours!

Little stinker stole my popsicle to go with hers!
