January

January was full of playing with new Christmas toys, going to Little Gym, taking advantage of a few nice weather days, and hanging out in PJs.

Evin loves playing tea party.  She makes little noises when she is pouring the tea and adding sugar.  Daddy is a great sport and willingly participates! :)

Since it was too cold out, Evin practiced riding her 4-wheeler inside.

And she thinks running into me is the greatest thing ever.  I think she may be over-doing the laugh just a little. ;)

Another one of Evin's thrills...visiting the Target Dog.  She loves it!  The second we walk in the door at Target she starts saying "Arf!" and wants to go visit him.

Little Ellis is taking after Evin and LOVES table food.  She munched on some cornbread and enjoyed being a big girl.

GiGi and PawPaw moved into their new house!  Evin had the most fun running around and exploring their new home.  She even threw in some squealing to be sure we were aware of her excitement.

We hadn't been to Campo Verde in years, but my mom remembered how they go all out on their Christmas decorations.  Kyla called to see if they still had their decor up in January, and they informed her that they leave it up until March...ha!  We went for dinner one night and we were blown away by all the tinsel and lights.

Evin sassed around in her PJs, while acting like she was a grown up.

Practicing some skills at Little Gym.  I love how it has pushed her out of her comfort zone and challenges her physically and socially.  She needs it after so much time at home with just family.

They had a fun "ride" this week on the mat.  Evin wasn't all that thrilled with it.  Haha!

Kyla wanted to watch Evin at Little Gym before she went back to Chicago, so Evin ended up having quite the crowd come to watch her.

Her smallest cheerleader.
Adorable!

At school, kindergarten eats lunch at 10:30.  I actually call it brunch. :)
We eat so early, that we have an afternoon snack.  One day I passed out Goldfish, and one of my girls said, "Mrs. Armstrong!  I made a picture of Evin!"  I do a writing demonstration almost every day, and lots of days I write about Evin and then draw a picture that includes her.  I usually draw her with pigtails, so this was her perfect little representation of Evin- pigtails and all!

Makes my heart so full to see these signs on the walls at school for Jump Rope for Heart.  I told my kiddos about Evin and her special heart.  Quite a few of them said they wanted to jump for Evin and raise money for babies like her.  Several of them raised over $100.  I'm so proud of them!

Mitch texted this picture to me while I was at school.  He said she rounded the corner, saw that fishing was on, and sat in her little chair to watch.  I'm not totally sure I believe it... ;)

Chef Evin, at your service!

She is a master of giving "the look".  I told Mitch, only a future teacher can give a look like this!

Going up, up, up!

Just hanging out, watching Mickey Mouse, eating a snack, and using Becks as a foot rest.
(I can't believe he let her do this.  I imagine it was only because food was involved, and the thought he might snag a bite.)

I asked her to go stand by the tree, and this is what I got.  This picture still makes me laugh out loud.  That fake smile kills me!

One of my favorite pictures of E.  She looks so happy!

We were pumped to get outside in the sunshine.  She pushed that wagon all over the yard!

I was texting with Kyla and was going to send her a picture of Evin.  When I said, "Smile for Lane!" this is what I got.

Evin was my date to watch one of my students play in her first basketball game.  She enjoyed watching (and snacking).

She goes from insanely happy to extremely angry in a matter of seconds.  This particular fit, which was the zillionth of the day, was because she wanted to hold all the tea set pieces in her hand at one time.  Something would fall out, and she would melt down.  We almost didn't make it through this afternoon!

Later the same day...in a box, in her chair, with a bracelet in her mouth.  She was so proud!

Exploring GiGi & PawPaw's new rug!

Makes my heart swell to see the Heart Hero Pond filling up at school.  Kids get to add a duck to the pond as they raise money.

Someone LOVES the pasta at CiCi's Pizza.

One of my favorite parts about Saturday & Sunday is being the one to dress Evin.  She's never awake when I leave for work in the morning, so Mitch or my mom always get to dress her.

We had lunch at Schlotzsky's and she couldn't get enough of their tomato soup.  She kept very enthusiastically saying, "MMMMM!"

Buddies.

Plane watching!

We made a quick trip to Brady to move some furniture from Paw's house back home.  I always remember riding the concrete deer in Mammaw & Paw's backyard.  I think it was a favorite of all the grandchildren & great-grandchildren.  So glad Evin had the opportunity to have her own ride.

Playing some tunes for her baby.

This happened in approximately 2 seconds.

E still has so much love for Beckham.  She talks about him when we aren't at home, wants me to sing songs about him, and wants him to be her BFF.  He's not into reciprocating the love.  Guess she loves the bad boy!

Funny story...I ordered this dress and planned to give it to Ellis for Christmas.  I ordered a size 12 month, intending for her to be able to wear it in the spring.  It.was.huge.  So here is my almost 2 year old, wearing a size 12 month dress that I took and got monogrammed for her, because there is no way it would have fit Ellis.  She is a bit of a shorty, so this would have been a ballgown on her!

I took advantage of her happy mood and snapped a few pics.
