3 months old- 6/20/2013

Evin turned 3 months old on June 20th, 2013!

-Weight: about 9 1/2 lbs

-Length: 22 1/4 inches

-Clothes Size:  Mostly 0-3 month, still some NB and some 3 month

-Diaper Size: NB- could probably switch to 1s, but we are trying to get rid of the rest of our Newborn and they still fit.

-Size Shoe: 0- could move up to 1s soon.

-Eats 7 times a day.  The first and the last bottles are rough because she is so sleepy.  She usually takes 1-2 oz then.  During the day she is consistently taking 3.5-4 oz of fortified breast milk.  It still takes about an hour for her to take a bottle.  Sometimes she can take one in 45 minutes, but most of the time it takes the full hour to get it all in her.  She has to take lots of breaks and it takes a LONG time to get a burp out of her!

-People are commenting that she are really starting to grow!  There are still some strangers that think she is only a couple of weeks old though...

-LOVES to kick.  She has started kicking while in the bath tub and she has a ball splashing.

-She loved her play mat for a week or two, but now gets mad when I lay her down on it.  She doesn't last anytime laying there and almost acts scared of it.

-Tummy time slowly continues to improve.  She does better if I put her on the boppy instead of flat on the ground.  If I lay her on the ground, she usually just lays there and licks the blanket (silly girl!) for a few minutes and then starts fussing.

-She recently discovered her hands and they are constantly in her mouth.  She has gagged herself with them and thrown up several times.

-She is a wonderful car rider.  She whines some when I put her in her carseat, but once she has her paci she does great and usually goes right to sleep.

-She loves to be at home and gives out tons of smiles to Mommy during the day.  She also always grins for her Daddy when he gets home from work.

-SO close to laughing!  I keep waiting for it...

-She is very attached to Mommy and Daddy and gets upset when others hold her.  She sometimes doesn't even like it when others talk to her.  She currently loves Kyla, but fusses at Mums, GiGi and PawPaw.  She does better when Mums and PawPaw take their glasses off!

-She went for her first swim in Mums' pool at exactly 3 months and she liked it!

-She is beginning to notice Beckham and Mia and follows them with her eyes.

-Most people think she looks exactly like her Daddy...and she does!

-She likes watching Baby Einstein.  She has watched this several times while I am cooking dinner.

-She loves to sleep!  She would love to be swaddled and put to bed around 8:30pm and left alone until 6 or 7am.  We try to feed her again around 11pm and again at 5:30am.  We are trying to fatten her up for her next surgery!  She is a wonderful night sleeper and never makes a peep.  After all this sleep she wakes up happy!

-She doesn't take her paci at night but wants it during naps.  She usually naps in her swing and sometimes in her bouncer.  

-Other than eating, she isn't really on any type of schedule.  I am home with her all the time so she pretty much just naps when she wants.  I know a nap schedule would get completely thrown off in the hospital during her next surgery, so I am not even going to work on a schedule until we have that behind us.

-If fussy or sleepy she usually calms down and sleeps if swaddled.
