Two Months Old- 5/20/2013

Evin turned 2 months old on May 20th, 2013.  Stats I have been keeping in my phone:

-Weight: 8 lbs 5 oz (2nd percentile)

-Length: 21 1/4 inches (10th percentile)

-Diaper Size: Newborn

-Shoe Size:  Still hasn't worn any!

-Clothes:  Mostly Newborn, but can fit into a few 0-3 months

-Eating 3 oz of breastmilk with formula added every 3 hours.  It takes about an hour for her to take the whole bottle.  She is technically only eating for 20-25 minutes, but she has to take frequent breaks and is not at all a good burper.  I have had to burp her for 20 minutes at a time before!

-Switched from Dr. Brown's (slow flow) to Playtex Drop-Ins (medium flow) at 7.5 weeks.  She was gagging herself often on the Dr. Brown's and seems to gag less on the Playtex.  We did medium flow nipples for a week or so (we thought she wouldn't have to work as hard to suck, but it wasn't a good fit for her yet), and then we switched her back to slow.  She has been doing great with them!

-Will sleep through the night without making a peep!  She takes her last bottle around 11 or 11:30 and sleeps until 5:30, when I wake her up for a bottle.  She goes back to sleep right after and I wake her up again at 8:30 for her next bottle.

-Loves to be held.  When she is awake she likes to sit up on your shoulder and look around.  Getting better at holding her head up!

-When she is in a good mood she smiles like crazy!  She loves to sit and smile at you about halfway through her bottle.  She thinks it's playtime!

-She discovered her tongue around 7 weeks.  She likes to stick it out and grin at the same time.

-Still likes to sleep with her head thrown back.

-Likes to be swaddled.  She sleeps swaddled at night in the cosleeper in our bed.  

-I occasionally swaddle her during the day if she needs to be calmed down or needs a nap.

-She went to church for the first time at 7.5 weeks old on Mother's Day.

-Loves her paci.  She still tries to get her thumb in her mouth and occasionally will try to get it in rather than her paci.

-She falls asleep in the carseat pretty much every time she rides.  She likes it for the most part but sometimes fusses when the car stops.

-We are trying to get rid of cradle cap.

-Smiles often- especially in the morning!

-Loves to lay on her changing table or stretch out and kick her legs.  Her right leg always kicks a little faster and harder than her left.

-Loves her bath.  Sometimes if I bathe her late at night she sleeps right through it!!!

We love this little girl to the moon and back!
