Easter Eggs Galore!

Kyla, Lane & Ellis were in town the weekend before Easter, so we took advantage of the time together and had our Easter celebration early.

We started off by dying eggs.  Here I am, giving very intense teacher instructions to Lane & Evin.  I am sure they were listening closely. ;)

This wild girl was confined to her high chair during the egg dying, but was mostly content with her spoon.

Making sure to get color on all sides!

Lane loved doing all the colors and we had to convince him to leave the eggs in longer than he really wanted to.  He was excited!

Lots of things make me miss my dad, but moments like these really do.  He would have loved being right in the middle of all of his grandkids.

Love these people!

All ready to hunt eggs!

Ellis had started walking a week or two before they came to visit.  She had walked for a few days, and then all of the sudden, she refused to take any more steps.
We tried to entice her to walk to an egg...

...it was a no-go...

...but she was as happy as a clam when someone handed it to her and sat her down.  Ha!

Proud of his loot.

Evin was quite the little egg-hunter this year.

She kept asking for "moe (more)?"

Mums had a "helper" while cooking dinner.

Mums also made cupcakes to celebrate birthdays, since Mitch's had just passed and Lane & Ellis were headed back to Chicago for theirs.  We all sang "Happy Birthday" and dug in- yum!
