Fort Worth Stock Show

A few weeks ago we had a semi-warm Friday when Kyla & Lane were in town.  We took advantage of the non-freezing day and headed out to the Fort Worth Stock Show.

 Lane is really into everything cowboy right now, so this was a dream day for him.  He insisted on wearing his "cowboy" attire, which consists of his vest, bandana, sheriff badge, and boots.  Mommy talked him out of the fake cowboy hat. ;)
First, we checked out a few of the animals.

We put Lane up on this little buggy and asked him to pose.  This is the face we got.  Ha!

This was Evin's first public outing in WEEKS due to cold weather and flu season.  I think she enjoyed just looking around and taking in the sights!

Lane took a spin on Xander the pony.  Kyla wasn't sure how he would respond when she asked if he wanted to ride, but he acted like it was no big deal and said, "Sure."

Waiting on Sheriff Lane to finish up his ride.

Love this girl in her heart shaped shades.

We quickly went through the area with the little booths and shops and came across kid-sized cowboy hats.  Of course, Lane had to have one to replace his toy cowboy hat.  He looked so cute in it!
{Lane is "lassoing" Evin's feet here. Ha!}

They even had baby cowboy hats.  Evin tried one on and was not impressed.  She would rather stick with headbands and bows. ;)

One booth was selling these toy horses.  You sit on them and bounce up and down like you are riding a horse and that thing zips all over the place.  It was pretty cool!  Lane had a fun ride...

 ...and, again, Evin was not impressed.

Lane was so proud of his new hat and mini lasso.

We had such a fun day!
