On September 3rd, 2013, this was the face we said "see ya later" to before she went in for major open heart surgery. This was the day her heart would be "fixed."
After surgery, seeing the her surgeon smile and tell us that Evin did amazingly well, was probably the happiest moment of my life. This was our first peek at her, a few minutes after we got the good news.
Later that night, we got to be with her after they got her settled in the PICU. She was in the hospital for just 1
week and by looking at her today you would never be able to tell that
she was an extremely sick little girl.
Exactly 1 year later, we are SO proud of the progress
she has made. We will forever celebrate September 3rd as the day her
broken heart was repaired.
