We woke up Christmas morning to find that Santa had dropped by and left Evin some goodies! Mommy and Daddy were pretty excited to spend Christmas morning with our girl, even if she had no idea what was going on.
Good morning, sunshine!
A right-out-of-the-crib Christmas picture. :)
After Evin had a bottle, it was time to see what Santa brought and to open gifts.
Not totally sure about the wrapping paper.
Giving her new baby kisses. Santa left Evin the baby stroller/walker with the baby doll. Even though she isn't quite ready for a walker yet, I know Santa was thinking that she will be ready for one soon. ;)
Mitch and I wanted to start a tradition of each of us picking out a book for Evin for Christmas. He picked out a sweet book called Me and My Dad! and she loved it.
Checking out some of her gifts. Notice the strange way she is holding her mouth? More on that in a minute...
Our sweet friends, Courtney & Dustin, dropped off Evin's Christmas gift on the way to her parents' house Christmas morning. She got an adorable heart outfit, a stuffed giraffe, and a Christmas ornament for her tree next year. See the silver heart at the giraffe's feet? It is a hammered metal heart and says "E is for Evin- 2013" on it. After we opened it, I texted Courtney about how PERFECT the ornament is. Mitch and I had just talked about how we wanted to get Evin a heart ornament for her little Christmas tree each year, since she is our heart baby. We hadn't found an ornament we liked yet, and this was exactly what we had in mind!
Playing with her makeup mirror she got the night before.
See the change of PJs? At some point, Evin got a tiny piece of wrapping paper in her mouth. She kept holding her mouth funny, like in the picture above, and then started coughing, gagged and threw up her bottle all over herself. After a bath and a fresh set of jammies, she was ready to play again!
Putting on a little lipstick.
We had a wonderful Christmas morning at home! This little cheeser made Christmas so fun for us this year.
After playing with new toys for awhile, we cleaned up and got ready to go to Graham to have Christmas with Mitch's grandparents.
Fast forward 2 hours, and we made it!
Hangin' with Aunt Elizabeth.
3 generations
Not a good camera angle for opening gifts, but E had fun. Granny and Pa gave her a beautiful engraved snow globe, which must have felt great on her gums because it almost never left her mouth! Maybe next year she will enjoy it as it is intended to be enjoyed!
She got lots of great gifts including this cute elephant ball popper.
I am glad we got to spend Christmas with Granny & Pa! I treasure the pictures of Evin with her great-grandparents, and I know she will love them when she is older, too.
Evin and her audience for the evening.
Staring into that big ol' beard on her uncle.
We finished up celebrating in Graham and headed home that night. We needed to get some rest because we still had 2 more Christmas celebrations to go!
