Christmas Eve

I am always excited for Christmas Eve, but this year I was especially looking forward to sharing all of Evin's Christmas-related "firsts" with her. The last several years, we spent Christmas Eve with my family, and we did again this year.  We went to the Christmas Eve service at church, went back to Mums' house, ate soup, and opened presents.

Kyla, Lane & Kyle
Their last Christmas as a family of 3.  Soon little Ellis Paige will be joining in!

Before church.  Evin's first time to wear a bow in her hair like a big girl! :)

A big, slobbery kiss for Daddy.

Kyla's sweet mother-in-law, Claire, gave me this dress at my baby shower.  I couldn't wait for Evin to wear it!

She looks pretty darn cute if you ask her momma.

We tried to get a cousin picture.  We tried hard.  Lane was feeling the music this day and needed to have his instruments with him in the picture.  We didn't get the picture we wanted, but they make a pretty cute little band!

This girl loves her Mums!

After we ate, we changed into our comfy PJs and opened presents.  I thought Evin would be SO into unwrapping the gifts.  You know how people always talk about their little ones being more interested in the paper than the presents?  Not Evin!  She did not care one bit about the paper or ripping it up.

So, she had lots of help from Mommy...

 ...and Daddy...

...and Lane!

Adorable new Toms from the Coots!

Lane was CRACKING me up with his "smiles."  He was way too busy to actually look and smile, so we got a ton of pictures of him like this!  He was a happy boy with his new goodies.

Lane was proud of his silhouette picture he gave Mums.

There's a real smile!

Beckham always enjoys a birthday or Christmas so he can get in on the opening of presents.

Love them!

We thought we were all finished opening gifts, and Mums remembered she left Evin's big present upstairs.  As she was bringing it in, Evin spotted it from across the room and immediately started pointing and grunting- she knew that toy was for her!

She was all excited about her rocking giraffe that plays music and lights up.

Yeehaw!

Beckham was helping me out on camera duty.

Ellis got some gifts, too!

We had lots of fun playing with new toys!

There's that cheesy little smile again! :)

Hanging out in Mommy's new tote bag.

Little Miss had to take a break to eat.

We had such a wonderful Christmas Eve at Mums! Next up, Christmas morning at home & Christmas day in Graham with Granny & Pa.
