Evin's Baptism

Evin was baptized on July 14th, 2013 at 16 weeks old.  We had been looking forward to this day for quite awhile!  Our Pastor, Mike, performed my Dad's memorial service, our wedding ceremony and now Evin's baptism.  He also came to visit Evin a couple of times while she was in the hospital at Cook's.  He has been there for us during many pivotal moments in our lives!

We were a bit anxious as to how Evin would do.  She is going through a phase (at least we hope it is a phase) where she pretty much wants Mommy, Daddy or very close family members to hold her. She does not like strangers and sometimes even cries when they talk to her!

I was honestly kind of hoping she would be asleep during church, but she was wide awake during this time.

Please check out her expression on the screen in the back.  Oh my.

She was NOT happy.  Mike just took it all in stride, laughed, and continued on.  I am not sure how he was able to concentrate well enough to get a good prayer out with her screaming in his ear!

She calmed down pretty quickly after getting back in my arms.

Maybe still a little upset with Mike? Check out her arm!

Perked up for a picture with Mommy and Daddy.

Evin received several beautiful gifts from our families including a pearl bracelet, a musical jewelry box, a fork and spoon and a very pretty picture frame.

Getting help from her big cousin to open her gifts.

Tissue paper fun!

Evin with her Pa.  Pa made several things for Evin's nursery.  I think he was pretty crazy about her before she even got here!

PawPaw took off his glasses to make Little E happy.  She's the boss!

The Armstrongs minus Alex & Elizabeth.  They weren't able to make it in this weekend since Alex is a Youth Pastor out of town.

The whole (almost) Armstrong clan!

Mums!

Love this picture!!

Aunt & Uncle K!

Evin gets a pretty big kick out of Aunt Kyla!

The Tittle girls.  Maybe Evin will end up tall like me so we can have a more balanced picture one day!

Difficult to get a good picture with both littles!

Silly boy!

Evin is the most perfect little miracle sent to bless our family.  We love knowing that she is being blessed with the promise that God will love her and be with her forever.

Children are a gift from God; they are His reward.  Psalm 127:3
