It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

Get ready for a whole lotta Christmas pictures all lumped into one post!  I had every intention of doing several posts of different Christmas events, but in order to get these pictures up before Christmas, they are all getting thrown in together.

We have had so much fun getting ready for Evin's first Christmas!

We picked out the perfect Christmas tree...

...put the lights on (which she loved)...

...and hung her first Christmas ornament on the tree!

Helping Mommy decorate.

I was messing around with my camera and the settings and this was one of the pictures that I got.  Hard to see her, but it's still sweet!

We got iced in, so all the Christmas decorations got put up!

We dressed in lots of cute Christmas clothes.

And we posed in front of the tree!

Is it terrible that I love a good crying picture every now and then?!

We have gotten lots of good use out of our Christmas jammies.

Can you see the dogs wearing Santa hats?  So cute!

My Christmas cutie.

We read some good Christmas books with Lane.

We went to the Mansfield Christmas Spectacular show and it was, well, spectacular!

The crew after the show.  Kyle was in Austin working and Mitch was at home recovering from surgery!

I just love these 2.  And that cheesy smile on Lane!

We went to Cook Children's Christmas party, and Evin saw Santa.  She surprisingly didn't cry, but I think it was because she was distracted by one of Santa's elves.  She didn't take her eyes off that elf!

She sure would have loved to share this cupcake with Mommy!

This Christmas party was really special because every child in attendance had undergone heart surgery within the last year.  It was neat to see some familiar faces and to have so many babies and kids together that have been through similar hardships.

They have a huge, gorgeous tree all decorated.

Little Sassy and Daddy

This Frosty moved and played music and she loved it!

It was so nice to be at Cook's for something other than a medical procedure or a doctor's appointment.  We enjoyed ourselves!

Hangin' out in Santa's chair.

After the party, we went out to eat, and Evin's personality did a complete 180.  At Cook's she was SO serious and rarely smiled.  At the restaurant, she grinned and had the best time putting on a show for us.  We played several rousing games of "Where's Evin?"

The next week Kyla was in town so she took some pictures of Evin in front of my mom's Christmas tree.  She has mastered this technique!

Kyla wasn't happy with the first set of pictures she took (even though I was!) so she wanted to try to get some others on a different day.  She captured several funny expressions!

Looks like she is saying, "Heyyyy girl!"

"Fa la la la la!!!"

This boy cracks her up!

We sure love reindeer in the Armstrong house!

My Christmas tree lover.

For the past few years, Kyla has used the same Santa to visit Lane.  She first used him for a Christmas party with a bunch of other babies Lane's age, and he was so good (and a good price!) she just kept using him!  We joined in on the fun this year for Evin.  Having Santa come to your house, not feeling rushed, and getting to take endless pictures rather than standing in line at a busy mall?  Yes, please!

Lane was excited at first...

...but wasn't totally sold on sitting with him.

This girl started off ok...

...and then quickly lost her cool!

Lane warmed up a little to see what Santa brought in his bag.

Excited for a soft, brown teddy bear.  Just what he had asked for in the letter he wrote to Santa.

Here is the best picture of the day:
I don't know that we will ever get a better Santa picture than this one!  I actually sent it in to one of our local news channels and they showed it on the news.  Lane and Evin are famous! ;)

We tried to get Lane to warm up to Santa by giving him some cookies.  He did give them to him, but refused to look at him while doing it.  HA!

E with her gift from Santa.

Proud of their Santa gifts!

Merry Christmas from the Armstrongs and the Coots!
