Thanksgiving

I always look forward to Thanksgiving.  I feel like it gets skipped over by many people in order to prepare for Christmas, but I love Thanksgiving!  Don't get me wrong, I do love Christmas, but I enjoy getting together with family, eating delicious food and doing it all before the craziness of Christmas sets in.  I was especially excited for Thanksgiving this year because I got to spend it with this little turkey.

This little polka-dot princess was ready to celebrate with family!

On Thanksgiving morning, we loaded up (it was just a day trip, but with a baby there is still "loading up" of baby gear) and headed to Graham to spend the day with some of Mitch's family.
Kicked back with PawPaw.

Evin had tried some bites of table food up until this point, but we decided she could try her first "meal" of table food at Thanksgiving.  She looks ready, doesn't she?

She immediately started grabbing for her plate and Mitch had to fight her off.  She was pretty confident that she knew what to do and how to do it.

I was feeding Evin and Mitch was videoing (which was too big to upload here), so we didn't get any pictures.  Evin loved the mashed potatoes & sweet potatoes, but didn't quite know what to do with the turkey, dressing and green beans.  I guess she isn't quite ready for textured foods just yet!  Oh well, we will keep trying. :)

Giving kisses.

Grins for Granny.

Story time with GiGi.

Inspecting one of Pa's model trucks.

So sweet!

Smiles all around!  Evin thought her Granny was pretty funny.

A little geography lesson with GiGi.

Our first Thanksgiving as a family of 3.

Crazy for this girl!

We had a great time in Graham and headed back home that night.  Friday morning we got up to head to San Angelo for Thanksgiving #2 with my family.

Evin is into grabbing at people's jewelry lately, and she went after Tiffany's necklace pretty quick!

This time Evin just had mashed potatoes and sweet potatoes, plus her regular baby food.  I guess we have a potato lover!

Lane and Marley wore themselves out playing and then snuggled up for some movies!

K&K (and Baby Coots!)

Waiting on her next course.

Little Miss with Paw.
She has 2 Pa(w)s- Mitch's grandfather and my grandfather.  Both of them are very special and oddly they have very similar personalities!

Marley stopped to pose with Paw, too.

Mia, laying sweetly on the couch.  For being a naughty dog much of the time, she was actually pretty good while we were there.  Except for the occasional trying to sneak a bite off the kitchen counter, she slept and was pretty tolerant of the kiddos chasing her around!

These 2 had a fun time hanging out!

How many people/dogs can fit on one couch?...At least 7!

I was working hard to get a picture of this crew and it was quite a challenge because Lane wasn't in the mood for pictures.  I finally got a good grin out of him and this was the result.  Ha!  Sorry, Kyle!

E had a ball playing with and watching the older kids play.

Dogpile!

A cowgirl and her trusty steed.

Just a couple of weeks ago Evin had the best time playing with Kyle.  This time...not so much.  She (and he) cried anytime he tried to hold her.  Maybe it was because of that scary face he made in the earlier picture. ;)

Happy Thanksgiving from the Armstrongs!

We have SO much to be thankful for.

Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good; His love endures forever.
