Friday morning (we were out of school for Good Friday) we took Lane & Evin to the park while Kyla's house was being looked at by realtors, since it was being put on the market to sell soon.
We went and picked up Kyla when the realtors were finished, and headed to Kerby Lane for a DELICIOUS breakfast complete with a fluffy topped latte.
Last weekend, when we were in Austin for Ellis' birth and homecoming, Evin was getting over a cold and ear infection, so we did our best to keep her away from Ellis. This weekend, Evin had {almost} full access to the new babe and she WANTED her. She wanted to touch her, poke her, kiss her, hug her, etc. She loves her new baby cousin!
Super happy for lunch time.
Lane thinks confetti eggs are one of the best inventions ever. He tried a few out and then saved the rest to use on Daddy, and Trent & Pops since they were going to come the following day.
She couldn't contain her excitement.
Kisses for baby Ellis.
Looking oh-so-adorable in her bunny outfit from Aunt Kori. :)
Precious sleepy smile!
Mommy is looking fantastic. Can't believe she looks this good and gave birth 1 week ago!
That afternoon we hid eggs for the kiddos to hunt, and this guy was pretty excited.
Ready, set, go!
This was Evin's version of hunting. She can't walk yet, and she wasn't big on crawling in the itchy grass. So she sat and pointed- haha.
She was cracking me up with this blue egg! Don't worry, it wouldn't fit all the way in her mouth...
"Hey, Mums, pick that one up for me!"
Love this girl in her bunny shirt and her squinty eye.
Both babes had to look high and low for eggs.
So proud!
He found the gold egg that had money in it- or "cash" as he calls it!
A new mommy of 2.
Mums with THREE grandbabies!
Checking out his treasure.
Fun with my girl.
To make sure to pack as many activities in our day as possible, we decided to dye eggs that night.
This was supposed to be a super fun activity. Evin was wiggly and came close to dumping over dye a couple of times, Lane was an eager beaver and just wanted to toss eggs in the cups, and Ellis started screaming because she was hungry. Many of the eggs ended up broken, Evin was confined to her high chair, and we were all stressed.
I think the only one that really had fun was Lane!
The next morning Lane had a soccer game, and we had high hopes for him since he scored 2 goals last week. I couldn't wait to see him play and have fun, but he was NOT feeling it this week. The look on his face in this picture says it all.
Little Ellis was hanging out in the Ergo!
Even though he didn't feel like playing this week, he sure looked cute in his soccer gear!
Lane with his fan club (minus his Daddy, who was taking the picture, and Mitch, who was working).
My mom and I decided to spend the afternoon doing a little shopping around Austin before heading home.
I was really excited to find a Blue Baker while we were out and about. Blue Baker was one of my favorite restaurants in College Station, and I didn't know they had made their way to Austin. We stopped in for a delicious lunch!
Evin ate like a pig and was a BIG fan of their tomato basil soup. Look at that sassy little smile!
This girl loves her Mums.
We headed back home later that afternoon, and had to make a pit stop to change a diaper and I let Evin get out and stretch her legs at a rest stop.
How cute is this girl?!?
We had a blast in Austin, but had to get home to get ready for Easter!
